Watermark Tutorial

In this easy tutorial I will show you how to add a watermark to a photo in Gimp. If an image is too small in this tutorial simply click on the image to enlarge it.



Step One:
Open up the image you want to add a watermark to. I am using the image below:


Step Two:
Now we are going to add a new layer by going to layer>new layer. Grab your text tool and have your foreground color set to white. Then choose your font (I am using Impact Condensed) Then choose your font size (I set my size at 200). Now write your text. Then grab your move tool and move the text selection to your liking. Here is my image now:


Step Three:
Go to Filters>Distorts>Emboss and have these settings: Function: Emboss, Azimuth: 30.00, Elevation: 45.00, Depth: 20. Your image should now look like this:


Step Four:
Now, go over to your layers toolbox and set your layers mode to hardlight and set the opacity anywhere from 50 lower. Now right click on your top layer and select flatten image. Here is my final image:
